The other day I seen a door panel on a 08 and noticed that its not much different then my 06 except for the design and where the electrical stuff is located on the armrest. My question is, can I put an 08 door panel or just the armrest on my 06. I have studied all the components and all the part numbers match up except for the door panel itself. I am pretty sure that I am not the first person to ask this question, since the armrest design on the H3 was a poor one at first. Thanks for any and all help on this.

You can put on the new door panel, but you will also need to extend the wiring with some sort of jumper to reach the new location.  New door panel and a jumper should be all you need. (I don't know the part #s...)

Thanks for the info Brian, I seen in some previous post where you posted pictures, helped a lot, as I was pricing the door panel switch out I noticed that the connection wire was the same from 06-08, is the 08 one longer and have the same connectors on it? Are the back door panels the same?

Rear door panels did not change.  If there's a different part number for 08, I'd go with that - the connectors should be the same.

Keep us posted and post some pics when you get the new door panel put on.

I was talking to a dealer Friday about ordering the 08 door panel, they told me I need a vin # to order the correct interior color, so I am needing some help with this. I have a black and tan interior, and need a vin # for a 08 or late 07 with the same interior color. I actually think its called ebony and cashmere. Can anyone help me out with this.
