How about this... I fill up the tank to its max, when the gas drips out, im done... I start up the H2... I check the range - which im assuming is supposed to estimate how many miles you can travel before running out (am I right?)... it listed 299 miles... I never checked to see exactly how many gallons of gas I actually put in - but I read that it should be a 32 gallon tank... so now im thinking that the actual mpg is more like 9.3, not 11.2... Am i misunderstanding something here? I wondering if the shown average of 11.2 is accurate.

Oh my - those POS resistors have been floating around the net and ebay for years.
They are JUNK
You put it inline with your mass airflow sensor AIR INTAKE TEMPERATURE signal wire. It fools the computer that the air outside is -32 degrees. YOU BURN MORE GAS. ENGINE DETONATES IN HOT WEATHER.
I have a bunch of those things from a company called nextlevelracing.com - its a resistor inside a box with epoxy. THATS IT.

Hey jaydcc69 I really like your "Best of" list, I will keep this for reference when we change things on my h2s, seeing as I currently have 5. The terra grappers are really awesome I recommend them also! Thanks alot man! Good guide!

Youre welcome... I put it up for people to see because I did the whole trial and error thing... You can tell because people are buying my parts I am selling on here that I take off :)
Some stuff may be expensive (like the supercharger or the computer) but is far worth it in the long run... Even the cheapest of parts out do expensive ones. Like the spark plugs - NGK TR6 ($2 ea) compared to NGK TR55IX ($13 ea)...
Wanna really mess up your trucks performance? Yes I said MESS IT UP....
Put in ANY fuel that contains 10% ethanol. Look at the gas pumps - Sunoco does it now, Exxon (some), Mobil... You are putting in a fuel with less energy per gallon (or Liter to you Dwaxman :) with the ethanol compared to straight gasoline...
To Save fuel - Keep all the tires inflated to 42PSI (Nitrogen in the tires helps), Use a K&N or FREE FLOWING FILTER, a FREE FLOWING EXHAUST, and DONT ROMP ON IT OFF THE START. Simple :)

I will keep the plugs in mind next time we do a tune up. How often do you recommend for tuneups? Also I got a coupon from my hummer dealer in the mail says "nitrofill $24.95 normally $50. Improves fuel ecomonmy 10% and tread life 30%, reduces tire failures up to 50%, improves braking and handling" can this stuff be true? What does it do besides just keep the pressure a constant pressure, if you check pressure regularly , does this have any benefit?

I get between 10.4 and 11.8 depending on the right foot. Right now it's at 10.5. It's good by me though.

I used Nitro in my tires before in other trucks, really liked it, I am waitng for my dealer to give me a deal on the fill, they chrage $75 here for it, looking for a deal!
Does it really help?? Who knows but your tires do stay constant with pressure.
As for ethanol in the gas, it is hard to find any here is Toronto that does not contain it unless you are going to a higher Octane fuel, Esso, Shell, Sunoco, Petro Canada, even Canadian Tire Gas Bar does it, I haven't seen any that offer the Regular fuel without Ethanol.

The nitrogen makes a BIG difference. The tire pressure remains constant at any temperature. With large hummer tires you must deflate and inflate about 5 times to get a complete fill. I would suggest going to your local welding store and getting a nitrogen tank yourself and the regulator and a hose and pressure gauge thats used on any air line. $75 is way too high. Dealers down here do it for $5 a tire.
The spark plugs - well, my idea of a tune up is this : Change oil and filter, clean the air filter (if its a k&n etc), lubricate chassis (find all the zerk fittings), lubricate all doors and hinges, clean the MAF sensor wires with the cleaner spray, change the spark plugs. The non iridium/platinum plugs can go for 24-36k miles usually. I do it every year.

24-36k on plugs doesnt sound like alot... how long do the stock plugs run 100k? I can't go to 24k on limos , we'd be doing tune ups every week
