We didn't know what it was until after I left for work and heard it on the radio. One of our expressways had some metal support beam that came up through the pavement and was causing everybody's tires to blow out. I thought the doors rattling was from thunder. I thought it a bit odd that thunder would last so long I'm sure the nice new crack going the entire width of my foundation in the basement may have gotten bigger. Actually, I thought of you when I made this post Our homes and streets aren't built to withstand them like they are over there. I didn't even feel it. My wife had to wake me up when the doors were shaking. I think you may have said that in a thread somewhere too 3hummers. Earthquakes, stock market, housing, weather....I guess if you say something long enough you will eventually be right.
