As long as it appears we're driving this thread in as many directions as humanly possible, Isn't Cranking the torsion bars, and getting some extenders to keep the factory shocks??

You can go that route, some prefer to change out the shocks all together. Have heard some opinions state that they don't like the extenders. I don't really know technically. I cranked mine and still have the stock shocks on it, no problems. Ride didn't even suffer hardly any at all.

Good to know!! Having my tortion bars cranked & aligned before I leave for PA this Week. Was shocked when I found out I could get it all done for about $65.00 at Tires Plus.

HEY! I loved that old crap car!!

Maybe you should relax a little bit. We have talked about your question and some other stuff (our old cars). Don't be so serious.

I had and 84 Dodge Colt...... but I only drove it when I was working on my 67 Cougar.
Cougar = not a crap car so its ok for discussion.

I had to walk 2 miles to school, uphill both ways, in the snow and I liked it !

Look at this Cat He is 4 posts deep and still in High School.  And trying to straiten the rest of the group out??? lol

Reef listen up man.  If your going to survive hear you better get ready to have all of your posts side tracked into different subjects.

Anyway getting back the the real subject:
I had a 91 Ford Probe as my first car in high school.  It was a total POS.  I totalled it then got into a Mazda Miata put a body kit on it turbo'd it and alot of other performance and stereo sheooot.  Loved that car but had to get out of sports cars becuase I tend to drive them a little to fast.

Oh yeah on a side note  I would go with 35's and maybe 18's that way you can still go offroad without a whole lot of problems.  Just crank your torsion bars and shackle the rear.

Welcome to the forums!  And Show us some pix from Spring Break.

Eric
