shortbus -> RE: stripping chrome off the grill (9/6/2006 8:58:16 PM)

what's a satin blaster? i have a sand blaster, but the grill won't fit in the cabinet, and it would probably destroy it. didn't think about the scotchbrite, i have some pads for my air grinder, but i think i'll try by hand first if there isn't an easy way to chemically strip it that's environmentally safe (don't wanna kill the grass when i rinse it off). i'm not too worried about dings or chipping, i got a brand new take off from the dealer and i'll be making the air gaps bigger than stock. i just don't want it to look like crap after my first trip on the highway. thanks for the input
