Hey All....

Quick question.. I am looking for a roof rack to attach my fishing poles to when running the beach - My H3 is Black and I would like to keep as much chrome/silver/aluminum off it as possible..

I found these, which may work, but if anyone else has any ideas, please email or post....

If you are interested in getting a safari rack which would hold your poles and other stuff
try Summit Racing P/N SUR-S5060 with P/N SUR-CH100 Adapter Kit. I bought these for
my H3 The Rack is $187.98 and the adapter is $39.95 plus $28 shipping. This Rack is made by
Surco. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUR%2DS5060&N=700+0&autoview=sku

You will need to get longer bolts to attach the adapters to the roof channels.

Do you know what size bolts are needed? Also the rack looks strong is it?

although expensive, you can't go wrong with a gobi rack.

If I recall the bolts that I used were 6.5 mm x 20 mm long. I bought them at a advance
auto parts. I just brought one of the shorter bolts there and matched it up on the hardware
board.

Thule has an interesting approach for fishing rods. Probably make kayak carrier that would fit the stock H# rails too.

Dilo,
About the 10% off - I have purchased many items from the sponsors listed here and always include a message about how I am a member of Hummer Forums yet they never take 10% off. Does this apply to phone orders only?
It's no big deal as I have loaded up on about $600-$700 worth of items over the past few months but this is the second time I have read this here and thought I would make a comment about it. Also, looking forward, I know I will get some ideas as more items become available (ie: PERFORMANCE CHIP) and would love a discount if you know what I mean.

Nice racks!

I did call Teaka Toys they were more then happy to give a discount for forum members. I think call is the key here. Not sure about the other stores though. I do know that every price I found on the net my local hummer dealer matched there price. It saved me alot of money in shipping costs.
