I doubt that's from bowling [:D]

3hummers -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 9:48:23 AM)

I used to bowl a lot an never got a Popeye arm so I doubt it is from bowling also.[;)]

shortbus -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 9:52:06 AM)

dammit, y'all beat me to it . . . . [:D]

importkiller -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 9:52:16 AM)

but I doubt you threw a ball like this

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v63/v10power/?action=view&current=Movie.flv

I put my finger tips in the ball (16 lb) (no thumb) and let the ball hang..then I flip it up and into my palm. This builds up forearm strength needed to throw the ball as hard and with as many revs as I do. Everyday I d0 50 of these [;)] I do bowl with my thumb..just don't use it for this exersize.

3hummers -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 9:55:15 AM)

You don't have to explain to us[:D]

shortbus -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 9:56:48 AM)

showoff . . . . [8D]

and you know the only reason you can do that is because of the other daily exercising you use that arm for . . . . . [:D]

importkiller -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 9:58:26 AM)

I do play a mean game of pocket pool

HummerGuy -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 9:59:31 AM)

Maybe he has weight packs strapped onto his arms when he's "bowling" [;)] What would enhance your stroke.

Oh wait, that's Golf [:D]

shortbus -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 10:02:30 AM)

we don't want to know how you know it enhances the stroke - just keep that stuff to yourself in the future if you would . . . . .[>:]  next we'll have Nancy giving us tips . . . . uh-oh, i just threw up in my mouth on that visual . . . . . [:'(]

3hummers -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 10:33:31 AM)

So back on topic...HG do you thinkall that pocket pool makes you an athlete?[:D]

HummerGuy -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 10:45:33 AM)

Is that where you have a tiny pool table the size of a floormat? Well, that's a thin line there.

Gunz; I apologize for this thread going into the gutter.

Gunz -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 10:51:27 AM)

Well I agree with yall. On the Olympics I guss if we had any curlers in here they would tell you they are athletes too and why. I personally thought many of what we have discussed are athletes. I think some more than others. Not sold on race car drivers being athletes as much as great stamina etc. I have played tons of sports but have never really liked pocket pool as I tend to think the better athlete prevails once he gets it out of the pocket! Now thats not saying I am any good once its out of the pocket.  You would have to ask my sister, I mean aunt,  I mean wife about that.

Gunz -> RE: Who is an athlete? (4/14/2008 10:52:52 AM)
