H-1 '06 Alpha Soft top. Under the rear passenger fender posterior to the rear fuel filler line is a 3/8 inch or so rubber line with a PVC like connector on the end. The connector end is not connected to anything, it just sits there by the stop light housing. It is not the return line connected to the fuel line. Can anyone tell me what this is for and to where it should be connected, if to anything. Your help is most appreciated, thank you

it's the self-destruct fuse -- you light it if you break down in the boonies and you are afraid of your truck falling into a jeeper's hands.

The only two things I can think of are the main filler tube and the vent line. Since the main filler tube is considerably larger than that I can only guess that it is the vent line which should be connected to the auxiliary tank.
Jim if you can post a picture I can probably tell you for sure but it pretty much has to be the vent line.

LMAO. At least you didn't tell him to light a match to get a better look.

already tried the match thing, actually it was a lighter. Explosion made a hell of a noise.
Took the garage door right off its hinges. Thanks for your input, didn't think I was dealing with a group of idiots

Jim, according to my service manual it is the vent tube. A picture would confirm it.

That looks like your fuel tank vent line and it should be connected to your auxiliary tank.

DrJim, get a comprehensive manual and a sense of humor. If you can't take it here go try **** or pirate for a real arse reaming.

what you pictured looks just like the vent line breather mounted behind my air box/coolant resevoir...that might be the way it's supposed to be, only zip-tied/attatched somewhere out of the way. Go by the dealer and make them take care of it.
