I should have taken a measurment before I started.  What was the stock height before the lift?  I tihnk this should be listed here as well.

Great "how to" write up, i got the extended shocks and extended bumper stops from http://www.trailduty.com/product_info.php?products_id=765 , took a couple hours to  crank up the bars and then install the shocks and bump stops.......

Doc,

Wouldn''t tire wear change your measurement to the center of the hub?

This is a great post. Save your money on a leveling kit. Just replace the shocks. Do you have any advice for body roll?

No, tire wear would not play a role in the measurement between hub center and a predetermined location on the body.  They are mechanically connected so the amount of tread would not change the spring length or torsional pull on the suspension.  As far as forgetting about the leveling kit, you may be correct.  However, the leveling(via the prescribed directions) is very useful if you ever take your H3 on anything worse than fire roads.  It does provide a margin of ground clearance when getting into some deep areas.
