has anyone tried to install a subwoofer in their 08 H2? I removed and tossed the back seat since I use it for transporting the 2 Labradors. I was wondering if someone made something that fits under the rear seat or mounts in the driver's side rear area on top of the wheel well. Someone makes one for the 07 and under but nothing for the 08. Any ideas/suggestions?

Here is the JL Stealthbox. I have the Stealthbox and it works great. I'm sure there are better units but this takes up no space. Not sure if it works in an 08 but a call to JL Audio would answer that question.

The JL Stealth Box does NOT work in a 2008. The side consoles are not deep enough and are shaped differently.

Tried that approach as well. You cannot fold down the rear seat since it occupies that area. For some reason the 2007 and 2008 are different in that area as well. Hence the complete interior change in the 2008.

Looks like its time to crack out the fiberglass and mold myself one version of the box that fits above the left rear wheel well

No problem - You guys tried.... I do have an Infinity Basslink II that I can stick in the back corner for now....

I run into this problem a lot. Always buy the newest vehicle and guess what - no aftermarket things fit. I take a chance and its all trial and error.

Called JL audio today - expressed my concerns with the sub box not fitting the H2. This is what I got for a reply:

Good morning Jay,
I understand in talking with Lisa Loring that you've received an H2 Stealthbox and found it not to fit the 2008 model. I have to appologize because I wasn't aware of the interior changes for 08. Looking at the pictures I can find of the 08 models on the internet, it looks like they've changed just about every panel in sight. At this point we're going to have to find a vehicle to pattern from in order to design a new enclosure for this vehicle. If you know of any owners in the Fort Lauderdale area who might be interested in working with us please send them our way. Unfortunately it will be probably 6 months before we have an 08 H2 Stealthbox available. In the mean time I would guess the only alternative would be a custom made enclosure. Just on the off chance our existing enclosure might be modified to fit, have you tried to install it, and if so, how close is it to fitting?
Thanks,
Don Vertrees

Anyone in the Ft Lauderdale area??? :)
