I don't know what the 08's are getting, but it should get better than that. Give it a little time.

I'm getting about 10.5 now around town and with my foot in it quite a bit.  Mine's an 07 SUT though.   It will probably break in after a few thousand miles.   I bought mine on Friday.  It has about 11,500 miles on it.  I hate to get out of it.  Keep us posted on the mpg.  I'd be intereseted to know.

Talk to you later

Yikes  ......tell me you got a really heavy LEAD foot. You're using 92 Octane right?

No idea. Had an 02 H2 and averaged 10.4 mpg with a lot of city driving over 50K miles. 7.7 hopefully means you have a lead foot. Stock tires? Actual mileage vs computer?

I get average 13.3 all day every day based on the computer, not actual. I drive about 100+miles per day about an equal combination of city and highway. I don't put my foot in it all the time though, only when I need too. I have about 47k on my 05 SUT, so I am more than happy with the 13.3, never felt I neeed to check actual mileage. I'll be putting and AFE cold air intake and magnaflow exhaust in a couple of weeks so we will see if that changes anything.

Just what I suspected, the 08' H2's require 92 octane! 03-07's models only require 87 octane.

This might be a dumb question but did you reset average mile per gallon after you bought it? I work at a dealership and all of the cars, trucks, and Hummers Average MPG sucks because they are run short distances and idle alot during the winter because they get moved around so they can plow the lot.

I thought the 08 was supposed to get better gas mileage than the other models. I was at the dealership this weekend and they told me that Hummer changed a few thing in the motor and that it increased towing capacity. It could be just B*** S*** though.
