Went to the 2008 Dallas Auto Show on Sunday. As usual, there was nothing to really knock your socks off. Very few concepts were present, of which only a few were of actual interest. I think my wife put it best when she said there wasn’t anything there she couldn’t see on the corner car lot. Well, she does sometimes have a gift for oversimplifying……… So…..Hummer was present and the display was just a tad better than last year. I guess you can only do so much with such a limited number of models to display. The H3T was there and from what I overheard, was receiving mixed reviews. No one was ambivalent towards it…They either loved it or hated it. Other than the H3T, I can honestly say I’ve seen better displays in the Sewell Hummer show room….No Joke. The “spokes people” appear to be the same Argentinean Star Search rejects they used last year. Except for a new, surly ass ringleader that looked like a bad stand-in for a 1979 Chuck Norris movie. Didn’t like his looks, and didn’t like him after speaking to him…..Ass-Hat to the max… And.....TO MY GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT.....NO FRAKKIN HX CONCEPT ! ! ! ! ! ! The Faux Chuck said he thought it was in Sweden........WTF ! ! ! At any rate, here are a few pics…… Sorry for the limited number of Hummer pics, I had some old lady that kept bumping into me and ruining my shots. Nice Yota……… [img]http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w28/Gunner_45_pi

I think I would love one (H3T) in the ALPHA configuration with some 35's under it and a proper grill guard. White, or God help me.....Sloar Flare Metalic....(That color is really growing on me) It looks a lot better in person than in pics, but there is still something not quite right about the proportions. I could put one to a lot of uses. Still, it's nice to see another hummer model......Man do they ever need it ! ! ! !

They do. That's why I can't believe they aren't balls to the wall to get the HX out. HummerGuy said that it looked like maybe 2011 model year in 2010 before we would be able to get one. NorthBay cadillac/Hummer is taking names for their list for the HX which they say they will have in 2009. I put my name on the list. It was free. Who knows but I will have one of those as soon as they come out.

I've seen two recent on-line references to the X, stating it would be available in 2009......Guess we have no choice but to wait and see. They HAVE to **** or get off the pot on this thing. You saw the article about dropping sales I posted the other day. Hell, at this show....If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say, "Glad I don't have that things gas bill"........jeez

NotrhBay is taking it seriously. I registered online. They had a girl call and talk to me at the office and then they followed up with a letter confirming I am on their list and thanking me for my interest. We will see.

Not sure if I like the H3T, I'll have to see it in person. Thanks for posting the pictures.

I have heard a lot of people say they weren't blown away by the H3T. Hope a chilly reception doesn't slow down the HX.

I definitely need another camera....Preferrably one with better image stabilization to compensate for the shaking of my palsied ass old hands........That ... and a front four to block the old lady that kept running into me EVERY TIME i started to snap a shot of the H3T....I started to say something to her but decided to just let it go. She did look like she was having a good time, so who was I to ruin it for her by whining about something that in the grand scheme of things didn't really matter. Besides, I REALLY "got my giggle on" watching all the dorky looking Eco Snobs get all moist in the loins while fondling those ugly ass Prius. All of them looked the same. Bald, glasses, cargo shorts and fake Izods..... NOTE: I have deleted the one existing picture of me sitting in a SMART CAR. I swear, I've sat in bath tubs with more leg room. A burial plan should be included with the purchase of that car...........

ORIGINAL: TigerLily I like that Nissan, what is that? Got a free 70+ K floating around.......It would be yours if you could find one. (I could see you sporting about in one.......Your weekend car) 2009 Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that generates 473 hp and 434 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission routes this prodigious power to the ground via an advanced all-wheel-drive system. In our instrumented testing, the 3,836-pound GT-R teleported to 60 mph in a drama-free 3.3 seconds, thanks to its launch control function, and turned in a blistering 11.6-second quarter-mile at nearly 121 mph.
