I have an oportunity to purchase on of the following vehicles...
What would be your choice 2005 with more miles or 2003 with less miles.
Bout vehicles are same configuration and same price just one is older then other.

I would do the 03. My 2003 was an almost perfect vehicle.

03.... especially if it happens to be Birch White...[:D]

low milage to me would be my choice

The 2 that voted for the 05 apparently want to stay anonymous.

If it is the same price for both then it's a no brainer, go for the low milage. Resale isn't enough of a difference to worry about the year.

Kelly blue book suggested retail value with the milage that you listed: (I looked these up with base model configurations, just a side by side comparison for you)

2003 with 31,242 miles = $30,240
2005 with 64,234 miles = $30,515

I checked up 2003 on Saturday,  that vehicle is in perfect condition outside,  no scratches on paint of any kind,  the only what worries me a little bit is that there is some rust on the bolts when you look behind the tires, and little on chaises also behind tires.  Also "door-step" witch I assume is additional equipment is also rusted somewhat.  I'm not to worried about step because I can imagine that is replicable or easily fixable.   2005 I havn't had a chance to check up yet, but do you guys thinks that this corosion is OK, or is it fixable?

P.S. rhill20 thank you for compereson,  that was awsome,  I got better deal then KBB shows witch is good to know.

Sounds like surface rust. Don't think i would worry about it.

What COLOUR are they????[;)]

Muddydawg75 -> RE: H2 - 2003 vs 2005 (4/7/2008 3:28:22 AM)

rust is a matter of getting out the rattle can....

those steps are cheap metal and offer no function other than to assist you into the truck... what they bolt to is solid steel...

The steps can be replaced in 20 minutes with a 15mm wrench and socket.  8 bolts per side.

I would go with the 03 but only if isn't in Birch White, I hear those trucks get stuck in puddles.[:D]

Story???????

gp -> RE: H2 - 2003 vs 2005 (4/7/2008 7:56:11 PM)

    but is also on the chasies (frame) of the car,  there is rust when you look behind a tire...  The steps are nothing I worry about it's more that other rust that is actualy on the frame of the car.
Also when I test drow it light with 4HI was always ON?  We tried pressing 4HI Lock and 4LOW Lock and but we couldn't get it on 2 wheel drive.  Is this truck all wheel drive all the time?
