I've been reading the forum for a little bit now and decided to join. I have a green 06 H3 5-speed fully loaded, with mods and bling. Still trying to decide on an exhaust system. I like the gibson value but I think I want chrome tips.

The one picture I saw made the tips look black. That does'nt look bad. One question though, where is the muffler.

I see. I assume the muffler goes where the stock systems secondary is. What differences did it make to your performance, mileage and how loud (don't want it to be too loud).

Thanks.
I checked out the gibson website. Questions??? Aluminized or stainless. Split tail (exits out rear near bumper) or extreme dual ( exits out sides behind rear tires) Would appreciate anybody's input.

Dennis has the aluminized I believe, much less money than stainless but will rust in time. IMO stainless is a waste of money unless you intent to build a show ride. Who wants to keep the same exhaust setup for 20 years anyway.

Split tail is what you see on the pics of Dennis truck. Extreme dual exits out the side of the truck behind the rear ties, kinda like the same location a stock tahoe exits out, only one on each side of the truck. If you do alot of rockcrawling this may be the best way to go as it won't hang below the rear bumper and affect your departure angles.

Dennis,

Have you heard the B&B exhaust? Can you compare the sound between the Gibson and the B&B (i.e., deeper, raspier at high RPMS, more or less ricer, etc.)? Iknow this is a subjective question.

I was gonna get one of those big ass soup can lookin mufflers you see on ricers and hang one below the bumper. Give it that distinctave rice sound...you know the kind that sounds like your fartin through a paper towel tube
