We recently picked up two Hummers this year. My wife drives the H2 becuase she likes to go shopping and driving the kids around and stuff and I take the H3 as a daily commuter.
Love them both. (btw, the H2 is all mine on the weekends, LOL)
Anyway, we've been getting the middle finger flicked to us lately. I don't know why either. I'm not driving to slow, nor am I in the wrong lane. As a matter of fact, I'm that guy that actually uses his rear view and moves as soon as I see a car coming up behind me fast.
I can't understand it for the life of me. And as a matter of fact, last week, some guy came completely into my lane, going the opposite way against traffic on a two lane back road, on a curve no less, while I was going down hill. I had to slam on the brakes and swerve on to the grass so that he wouldn't hit me. Thank God that I was watching the road and not on my cell phone.
My wife and kid were in the car. All I have to say is that If I wasn't a cop and did not have the training I that I have in EVOC, (plus the fact that I work in NYC, where dodgeing cars and cabs is just a lifestyle), I would of hit this car head on.
The operator of the other vehicle was driving a Caddy, I believe a Seville? It had a low front end which meant it would have been an H2 going over a ramp at a combined speed of 70mph.( I was doing 35mph and I can only assume he was doing the same). It would have ended up bad for us. We most likely would have rolled in the the river.
I tell you, I was calm on the outside, becuase I wanted to play it cool in front of the wife and kids. However, I was pooping bricks and they werescared out of their wits.

Has anyone else been getting flick off?

It happens from time to time. Not alot for me though, only once in a while. I usually just smile and wave at them. That REALLY pi**es them off.

The running you off of the road part is totally uncalled for though. If I was a cop, I probably would've turned around went after his stupid ass. But, you probably made the right choice.

I had some a-hole at a gas station come up to me a couple of weeks ago. He said he felt like spitting on my truck, because it was bad for the environment. I laughed at him and said go right ahead, it won't bother me none, some morons spit is not the worst thing thats landed on my truck. He just walked a way. People can be such diks.

Not very often. I guess driving an H1 with an NRA sticker on the back window in SoCal has everyone convinced I am crazy enough to need to be left alone.

As far as me displaying anything about me being a cop...it's probably gonna be my haircut. Other than that, no decals, hats, shirts or anything in or on my vehicles say that I have anything to do with PD. I leave that stuff for Fire fighters and EMS. They're buffy like that and would stop for accident on the highway. Not me. If I stop and ID myself as a cop and something happens, I'm the first one to blame and get sued. Unless somebody is dying, or it's not family, peace, I'm out. (I'll dail 911 for you).
I was thinking about going back after the guy, but I had the wife and kids.
I always carry my MasterShield and my AmEx. (badge & gun) My Mastershield opens up all doors,(Badge) and my AmEx, I never leave home without it, (Gun).
I've had guys spit on me before...every last one of them has spent the night in the ER. Spit on my truck...I'ma run your car over. ( I lost control, Oh well, thank god for insurance). lol

Fortunately most of the people in Socal are big p&^sies. Not many really want to get caught doing anything that will get a reaction. Now if they think they can and run away....

Most of the greenies that really stress about this stuff probably do live in the big cities and on the coasts. You are lucky you don't have to deal with those types often.

In MI, it is not about Hummers.................it's Jap Crap/foreign trash vs N. American made.  My H3 has been all over Detroit and the burbs, not a scratch, no worries.
