I just install my Magnaflow Cat Back, I'm really happy with the sound and added power.

Nice.

When your whomp'n on the gas and then letting off it sounds almost identical to my Gibson.

I'm actually surprised on the sound from a little I5, the strange thing is it only builds up to that sound when cat back gets hot, when I start the engine it almost sounds stock maybe when all the oil and crap burns off or after a few days of driving or both!!

..mine sounds the same hot or cold.  Yours looks a like a different design, is that the muffler in the rear or a resonator, or is there a single pipe from the muffler that branchs out to the dual tips at the rear...The Gibson has a large muffler that replaces everything and two pipes come out of the muffler to the tips at the rear.

..not the best pic to illustrate the difference but maybe you can tell.  They do sound very similiar though...not sure about the performance difference, I think the Magnaflow is a bit more expensive than the Gibson.

I was thinking about getting the Gibson, but I did get a pretty good price on the Magnaflow so that helped in the decision

I hear ya, the main reason I settled on the Gibson was the price.

Do you have any intake?  I don't and am curious how the sound and power will feel when I get it...I'm sure there will be a difference.

Sounds good Bear, I really don't think that it sounds that much different than mine. I may download yours and put the vid next to my vid and compare.

Not bad. I really like the way the Magnaflow makes the Vette sound.

mfish,
Thanks for posting this image. This is pretty much what my custom Flowmaster exhaust looks like on my Alpha. But I still don't know how to post a sound clip so I'd have to say mine is similar to blackbear's.

3hummers says "I really like the way the Magnaflow makes the Vette sound" and I agree 100% but I don't like Magnaflow's can placement on the H3. In my opinion there are just too damn many 90* bends for a high perfromance exhaust. That's why I choose the Flowmaster custom system for my Alpha

Now that single tip custom mandrel bent stainless catback system using an Aero Turbine 3030 muffler that ALPHA XY installed on his truck is outstanding and sounds great.
