I look back to my truck of old, back when we first got it, and I look at how nice it looks now with nothing on it.

I think you caught a little chromeovertoperus blingitis. It's a common disease - I believe it originates in Canada and infects many in the states. Glad you found a cure!

Tell me about it.  I will finally have pics this weekend.  wooohoo [8|] Only 2 1/2 months in the making, all for close to stock.  I am the only person out there that had to work months to get his H3 to look like what everybody else bought it with [:D]

I do however take pride in my sidesteps, which I painted gloss black and applied 3 coats of clearcoat too.  Not sure why though [8|]

Yes, but some may have an issue with the Chicago Bears CD Visor holders on my visors that don't match the wood/chrome interior [8|] I'm not digging them too much either, but ya know, the wife and the Bears and all, yeah, that's it.

HummBob, I'd have to say I have a bit of chromeovertopus blingitis myself, which is a bit out of character for an H3 species like mine, hummersapien roughtrailrider. I like to get people offguard when I wheel my slightly blinged H3.
