i have a 2002 h1 that has been working perfectly until lately its showing this problem; one day i was going to pick up my wife from work and i stopped at the fuel station and filled up the tank and i wanted to start the car but it wouldn't start, i cranked it several times but had no success. there was a mechanic shop nearby and asked him to check it out but he couldn't figure out the problem; after waiting there for about 15 minutes i crakned it again and it fired up; so i went to pick up my wife from work and my daughter from school and then came back from shopping and it wouldn't fire up, i cranked several times but it didn't work. i called the tow truck to take it home, while wating for the truck i cranked it again and it fired up and i started rolling back home while on the freeway it died again without any warning. i waited a few minutes and cranked it , it rode for another mile but died again. long story short  in 7 miles distance to home it died 6 times and this made me very frustated. i took it to a disel specialist the next day and it went thorug a computer test but it couldn't detect any problem and showed everything working just fine. so  the eingine dies while running on the road or being idle. if anyone has an idea of what's going on, please give me suggesstions. Thanks

Sounds like the dreaded PMD failure issue... this happens due to the PMD being exposed to heat and eventually fails... You can check this by pouring water on your PMD which is mounted on your injection pump causing it too cool off then if it starts that is the issue...
The best fix for this is to buy a new PMD and also a relocation kit which will mount your PMD away from your engine so it wont be exposed to as much heat also you can buy heatsinks for it as well prolonging its life...
I didnt know about this issue when I first purchased my H1 and took it to a hummer dealership... Instead of replacing the PMD they replaced the whole injection pump and charged me $4,500 for doing so. So now I am just waiting for this PMD to go(hopefully it will last another 8yrs or more) then getting the relocation kit(unless of course I get the cummins by then)

I agree with Injun. That sounds like the most likely cause. I assume that your diesal expert checked fuel filters, pump, etc. I also assume that he checked the fuel to see if it was contaminated since you say it started after you filled it up. Let us know what it turns out to be.

Yes, as 3hummers said check the fuel system for bad fuel/filters etc as well. but really does sound like the PMD
