Has anyone tried to relocate their front license plate to the side?
I'd like to use my front hitch, but it's a pain to have to remove the plate all the time.
I use it for my hitch hauler, when I am trailering my ATV.

Like I just posted in the other thread...

I got mine from this guy... quality was great... came with a locking pin... and if you need the license plate or want to show off another tag then you are golden...

Quality was good enough that 3 of the 4 welds survived my accident...

i relocated my front plate - to the floor behind the back seat.  i usually have the winch mounted, but have yet to be stopped for lack of a front plate.  you could always just drill a hole in the skirt next to the hitch mount and put it there - or follow muddy's suggestion.

I don't have front plates either. State law requires you to have both plates but I only know of one person that ever got ticketed for it.

They make spring loaded tag holders that will just flir down out of the way when you need to use the hitch.

They have made those for years, I remember when almost ALL cars had one on the rear so you could put gas in the car.

In IL they will not hesistate to ticket you for not having a front plate, even if you have no mounting for it.  My Beetle Turbo had no front plate mounting at all and I got a ticket for it.

Well, in my defense, I bought it so my then-fiance would have a car to drive, but ended up doing most of the driving because a week after that she was in a bad accident and hasn't driven since.  That's where the bettle evolved to the xB which evolved to the H3.

Sweet! GOBI is the way to go.
I live in NY and I work in the city. All cops and meter maid are a bunch of ticket whore bastiges....And I'm a Cop myself in the city, so I can say that.
Even though I have a parking plaque to save me from parkers, I hate getting pulled over.
I don't take the H2 to work much, but every once in a while I do.
I must get pulled over about twice a week min. That's becuase I'm always running late. I don't need another reason for the Troopers to pull me over. It's always the same thing...speeding and tinted windows.
