I need some info here guys

importkiller -> I need some info here guys (3/15/2008 7:56:30 AM)

Muddy told me that the H2 doesn't have fog lights but rather a 3157 bulb mounted int eh foglight location that act as DRL'S? Does someone have a picture of this...or can you take one?

thanks

do you need a night time pic, or just something showing the location?  the pic from my snow run post shows the location of them.  i don't have a night time pic though.  they're basically tits on a boar for night time, even though i did mod it so they would stay on with the headlights.

looking at the banner picture at the top of the h1,h2,h3....are the lights that look like the h3's fog lights actually just DRL's on the h2?

yes, and here's something to make it easier

well that's just gay!! What a stupid design by GM. I wonder is a 3157 LED replacment bulb would make them more effective?

Some people are honestly confused on this because of the other models that have real fog lights and are the 9004 or 9005 style....  on a Deuce they are a little brighter than a blinker.... I also think they make a 4157 that is supposed to be longer life...

i think PIAA makes an entire replacement housing, but it requires some cutting.  since there's no way to turn them on or off at night, you'd need to add a switch somewhere along the line to make them foglights.  you can jump from the park light relay to have them on with your lights at night, but if you want them off you have to turn off your headlights - not a good idea in the dark in most cases . . . . not sure, i still have stock.  one of our members replaced his and had to cut the hole bigger, but i'm not positive they're PIAA.
