GUys, I need some help here. I was offerered to carry a new line of motorcycle lighting and was told that it was going to really take off. According to the "experts" Motorcycle lighting is big right now and will be the next huge wave in lighting. Before I invest my time and money in these products I was hoping to get a few opinions from motorcycle fans/owners. I can even send some out at my cost if I can find people willing to install and take photos...maybe even write up a review for me? Anyone interested?

here are the new products I am talking about:
full LED kit for the entire bike...istalled on a crotch rocket style

installed on a Harley style:

and the newest thing is this shift linkage for all harley drivetrains (or I guess for the custom bike builder)
it's red white and blue...would look great for the Military guys I think.

so what do you guys/gals think? WOuld this be something I should invest my time and money in? Would yu put it on your bike? Would you like to be my reviewer?

i used to have the flourescent tubes on my sportster's plug wires, that lit every time the plug fired.  they were cool at night, as long as you were on one side of the bike.  the performance suffered a bit and i eventually got sick of them.  if it was a show bike, i might consider it, but it's not.  i think the sport bike crowd may be the best bet for something like this, but that's just a guess based on the attitudes of some of the riders i know.  my son has a sport bike, i'll see what he thinks.  although, i doubt they'd be legal while driving, especially the red and blue.

Personally.... and these are my opinions only...

It all looks good until you pass the gawdy point...

The shift linkage looks great to me... the rest looks like crap... way too much of something that isn't street legal.... it was a fad before... and it's coming back around.... and will fade again... and then somebody will make it bigger and better and it will be here again.

Post that pic from the SG forum with the guy that glowed out his wheelchair..

Well, this is based solely on my expierence at Bike Night. Bike Night is held every Wed night during the spring/summer/fall nights nights. It's crazy with the amount of bikes that come to this thing. Your lights are big right now, especially with the custom boys. They usually just don't turn them on until they park the bike, then leave sit there that way for show. I do think that there is a market for it, everybody is always asking them where they got their lights.

There is a guy with a Harley that has a light package like that on his who runs around down in Laguna. He always gets a lot of attention. I think it looks pretty cool in moderation.

OK, I'm interested. Just bought a new HD Softail Deluxe (crimson) and the red lights would look good. The full set would be too much though, do you have partial kits? Most of the people I ride with have HD's or custom bikes. People tend to gravitate towards a parked bike lit up at night asking where you had it done, how much, etc. I think you'll make money on selling/installing kits.

This pretty much sums up what we have all been saying.... from an impartial member...

The lighting in the bikes above are more than the basic kit I am talking about here....that sportbike is a dude from the SG forum and he has like 8 kits on that beast...it's an awesome looking bike. The basic kit will give off a nice amount of glow...but more of a calm glow (if you know what I mean) Here is the basic kit...you can decide where to put them for the look you want:

(2) L.E.D. License Plate Light Bolts
(2)  6" L.E.D. Strips
(2)  9" L.E.D. Strips
(4)  L.E.D. Pods

this is what the basic kit will look like:

again...depends where you put the lights....they wanted glow on the ground for this pic...place teh LEDS in other areas and you can direct the glow where you want it.
