"On road incompetance"?? What bias. Back in the day when I road motorcycles, I had a 1995 Fatboy, according to alot of the motorcycle mags, Honda could do no wrong while Harley could do no right. I guess whom ever is the biggest $$ contributor get's the most favorable reviews.

And This is why American Cars have such a bad reputation. All it takes is some supposed non-biased and well-circulated auto publication to say something good or bad about a company or vehicle and everybody (meaning the general public) believes them, ie Consumer Reports. I used to believe Consumer Reports auto edition, but when I started to drive different types of cars and SUV's and read what they would have to say about them, I would say I dissaggreed with 75% of what was written as compared to what I experienced. The smaller publications seem to always be the most honest and reliable source of information, not to mention forums like these, which makes it an invaluable tool. I personally think GM cars have gotten so much better in the past years with design, reliability and what you get for your money as far as features. Of course that's my personal opinion, but as I learn the hard way from starting to own american cars, I realize they aren't as bad as people think. I feel like all these years I have been believing all the BS I have been fed by biased people in the industry.
