Guru.... not really.... but I'd install whatever on anything you're willing to drive to my house...  and since I have a forklift at work I could even get something shipped freight to work...

Hmmm..how do you feel about doing clearance lights?  Local 4x4 shop doesn't feel comfortable doing them and I can't get myself to drill into my roof.

Ladder is attached to teh door.  It swings open with the door.

Since the Gobi ladder is mounted only to the rear door, does anyone know if the door could be damaged by the weight of a person climbing the ladder?

Isn't the door only rated to like 50lbs above what's already mounted (spare, jack etc.)... I thought I read the 50lbs somewhere.

Seeing as how that ladder is mounted on the hinged side I would imagine your weight "Male Adult"  on that ladder as long as the door is CLOSED and SECURED would not be too much at all.  with the door open well that could be a little different.

ummmm, yeah, please don;t try to climb on the ladder with the door open.  You'll go for a ride and you may be missing some fingers after that one too.

We rate the ladders at 300lbs....WITH THE DOOR SHUT.  However, I've seen a "larger than normal" person climb on that without issue.
