I still don't have any REAL numbers due to not having my scangauge yet. But I have always had K&N or Airaid in my vehicles and my combination of the Airaid and AirDoc Intake is great! I have gained an average of 2-3 MPG's on my 07 H3 with it. I was already running the Airaid alone before adding the AirDoc and that's the increase after the intake itself was added.

As promised, if and when I ever get my scangauge hooked up I will post some real numbers for you.

I will tell you though, DO NOT skip the step of adding the little screw into the snorkel tube (provided with intake). I did and the snorkel came off and was just laying there in the fender opening, not connected to the air box. Believe it or not the MPG difference is what prompted me to look at it. It was a noticeable difference with the snorkel not connected. Not the products fault, mine for skipping the step.

*OH, just FYI. I fixed the snorkel as soon as I got home from work 24 miles HWY at 70 MPH. I popped the hood and grabbed ahold of the intake tube to loosen it. It was slightly warm to the touch, not bad, didn't "burn" or anything. Thought that was pretty good considering I was keeping warm off of the motor *

I am VERY please with Doc's product and would recommend it to everyone.

I really do not like talking about mpg change.  It depends on too many variables, and is heavily influenced by individual driving habits.  Some of the asssessment is a common effect.  If you get an intake, likely you'll stick your foot in it a time or few having some fun , mileage suffers that tank of gas.  Then you kinda...get over it, and you notice an improvement?  Some then drive carefully and can get better mileage, most of which is just because they are being conservative, not directly because of any intake itself.

What I "think" is happeneing is you might be able to round your mileage figures up, theoretically, to the nearest full #?  For example, if you've been getting say 16.3 mpg , you might be able to measure an improvement up toward or approximating say almost 17mpg.  That's as good as I can tell, but others have said better.

AirDocIntakes does not even attempt to suggest anyone will see any improvement in MPG with an AirDocIntake, but you can easily enjoy improved performance without any mileage reduction.

I haven't changed anything about the way I drive, fast and angry  I gun it from the light and I usually go 70-80 on the HWY. I swear to you the MPG got better. Maybe it was your intake, maybe it was a combo of the intake / exhaust mod I did. IDK. Don't get me wrong, I'm not getting 30 MPG's or anything but I'm definitely getting better mileage than before.

Either way, great product!

I PMed you Gunny.

Another person also asked if I will do different colors?

At this point, not entirely sure, but I was gonna do a batch of hammered silver just for giggles and see what people think.  It is too time consuming to paint one at a time per request, but you can always paint what I sell whatever color you want, I know one buyer has already done that.  I cannot too strongly urge that you let the paint dry completely before installing.  AirDocIntakes are primed, painted, and then dried in a heated low humidity "dry room" for 5 days before selling.  I know it is overkill, but that is the way I do it.    I really like paint to set up completely for no problems down the road.

I have a little more feedback.

I have gone 3 to 4 days at a time without starting my truck in the past 2 weeks.  Before the intake, the engine would run a little rough for about 15 minutes or so after the first start.  Now when I go for days at a time without driving it, it runs perfectly smooth.  Another plus for me.

I don't know if that's because there was some kind of condensation buildup before in that box that isn't there anymore, who knows.  All I know is that it runs perfect even after days of sitting there when before it would vibrate and idle rough for a bit.

The other thing is I've now burned through more then a few tanks of gas and I'm VERY pleased with the smoothness of the engine.  It's very quiet now and runs very smooth.  I know I've said this before, but it seems as if it's gotten better the more I drive it.

The only thing I'm going to do is switch from a K&N to one of the newer dry HP filters.  I want to try something new and am sick of the oiling process of the K&N.  Does that make me lazy? Probably, but it's what I want.

Got it Doc, Thanks, will keep you informed.

HummerGuy, your engine is adapting to the new found power and breathing better.
Here is the measurements of the stock filter;

Style: Air Filter
Media: Paper
Height: 8.875 or Tall
Outer Diameter: 5.820,
Inner Diameter Top: Closed
Inner Diameter Bottom: 3.590 part that connects to the MAF

Thanks Gunny.  Is that filter considered more of a high-flow filter, or more comparible to a OEM replacement?

Thanks!  I'll check it out.  As long as the air flow is equal to and not lower then the K&N, that's what I'm looking for.

All good stuff Gunny abd HG.

The ability to select whatever air filter you want for your own truck, and take full advantage of it with an AirDocIntake is what I was trying to accomplish.  I wanted to mate a quality application to purchaser flexibility.

I like K&N, but you do not have to use one by any means, lots of good filters out there.

Will be shipping this weekends' purchases tomorrow morning gang.  Thanks for your support.

Customer announcement.  You guys, and gals , have sold me out.  These are problems I enjoy.

John from TX, yours is shipping tomorrow, you got the last boxed kit today and you already missed the outbound send.
Seriously, I had a load of Aluminized Steel Pipe delivered friday, but with the holiday weekend, and another project that had to be completed, I will be running more tomorrow night.  Those then need prep., prime and paint.  I let them dry 5 days, so next week we will be shipping again.
However, you sold me out of hosed too, those were ordered last week and should be here soon.  Anyone who orders this week after this announcement will be sent an email informing them of a short back order, and I can refund payment if you do not want to wait for shipping.

I had an opportunity to ship a significant product from DETROIT for import to JAPAN, that will be leaving first thing in the morning.  I rarely like anything better than selling and shipping a product made here by us to Japan.

Thank you all for your support.
Enjoy your intakes.

Keep Hummerin!

Congrats on your success Jeff! I feel very honored to have been a tester for this product.

My highway engine noise is almost non-existant now.  All I hear is road and wind noise.  Pretty amazing what an intake can do for your car. Makes me wonder why GM designed it the way they did in the first place
