That is one wierd looking filter on the 08's

The Fram Air Hog filter (PRA9778) for up to '07 is currently on sale at Amazon for $24.99 - $20 rebate = $4.99

Doc, wifey needs one when you are ready for the 08's! Even with the stock filter it would be better!

I just emailed a family friend that works directly for Airaid (where I got my filter/TBS for the 07) about new filters for the 08's. Will let you know what comes out of it. He works directly with the R&D dept in AZ.

Until an aftermarket filter is ready for the 08's, since one of the main problems seems to be the MAF sensor, couldn't I just cut the tube leading from the air box cover to the MAF sensor (cut it close to the cover ) and use a hose clamp to attach the new CAI? Then I wouldn't need an adaptor for the MAF sensor since they're more trouble than they're worth to get them to fit. I'm thinking this would be a temporary fix until the air doc is ready but I don't know.

It might work... but Doc has strived to make a product that can be removed and your intake returned to stock at any time....

I'm definitely going to get one of Doc's when they're available, but my impatience always gets the better of me.

Might work?   I just don''t recommend cutting up the stock intake, but your idea might work.  Sure wish somebody would come out with a performance filter.

I got the Spectre adaptor but I had to use a Dremel to open the hole wide enough to fit the sensor since it''s so wide. Once I did that, there''s not a tight seal when I put the sensor in. By the time I''m done tinkering with it, it''s going to be an ugly mess that may not even work. So I''m hoping a performance filter comes out soon.

That is what I was affraid of when doing an adaptor, the 2008 sensor requires a fairly large opening.  KUDOS on the good ole college try!

FYI Doc, I put the airbox lid back on and it is actually running better and I saw roughly a 1 MPG increase in the last 2 tanks. Still running the Airaid filter with your intake.

Well, last night I put my intake together (custom box). I used the Spectre 4" maf pipe (sensor fit perfect) with the 3 1/2" spacer. After I got the computer to adjust it was working great. Until this morning. It had to learn it all over again. I might have to go to the 3 1/4" spacer.

Here is a pic of my Air Doc.  Very happy with the set-up, easy install.  As a sales pitch may want to include free lifetime cleaning
