Hey all,
I've been lurking on the forum for a couple months and finally have the time to actually post.  Got a 2007 H3 back in September because I was tired of breaking the suspension of my Subaru Outback on the trails.

I posted some pictures to a gallery, hopefully they will show up.  No major mods - Boulder Grey Tactical Edition with factory roof and grill off-road lights, gas cap cover, window trims, tail light gaurds (not yet installed), and a Gobi stealth rack (being installed next week).

Love going out every weekend exploring my local Rocky Mountain trails.  New at real off road wheeling though, so I am hoping to run into other enthusiasts in the Colorado Springs area to break me in so i can venture off to other great locales.  The H3 has been a blast, except in deep snow...stock tires not great for that.  Yet, so far have not been stuck so bad that the truck was not being able to get itself out, even when I got run off the road into a snowy ditch!

Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and look forward to talking on the forum and maybe someday out on the trails.

Cheers!
Billy

Welcome to the forum Billy. You are in a great location for hitting the trails. Shouldn't have any trouble hooking up the Hummer owners out there.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.  This is great place!

I thought I may find more folks from Colorado here - but maybe they are all wheelin in the mountains instead of posting on forums - doh!

I have yet to see any other Hummers off road in the places I have been, but they are very popular here for winter storm driving.  Had a friend with an H2 SUT, but he was afraid to take it off road, so traded it for a new Rubicon - at least he goes off road with me now.

I got bogged down in snow trying to follow him last week.  Like I said, seems my tires are not great for 10in of wet snow.  Besides bogging down at slow speeds, they seem to slide sideways a lot on any kind of canted trail.  I am hoping to put some 33" tires on soon, but will probably miss the snow and be in time for some great mudding.  Are mud tires also good in snow?  There is a lot of good info on tires on this forum that I will try to take advantage of in my purchase.

Are there any organized groups here from Colorado?  I think a couple of the local Hummer dealers have outings, but have not found much else.  Looking forward to meeting some more people out on the road.

Cheers!
Billy
