first off doc doesn't need to apologize to me nor does anyone else, i've taken no offense to anything said here (this is the internet if i don't like something being said i hit the little red x in the upper right corner and "poof" it's all gone) and if you look back to my first statement I only asked a question that required a "yes or no" answer

I like this forum as it's a place were folks can come and talk about there cars, the mods they've done, the mistakes made and have a little laugh sometimes, see ppls pics, their rides ect

some forums love to bash other ethnic groups, different types of cars or gays or whatever
i never accused anyone of ethnic "bashing".

though i think we can see that the term "jap" is offensive and politically incorrect, just as much as saying n**er
(when being used in reference to a persons ethnic background and not a Jewish America Princess)
it may not have been intended to be used as an offensive slur but that still don't make it right

i've moderated several different forums in the past (many with lots of kids) and i know it's a thankless nonpaying "JOB" and i commend all of you for your time, sometimes it's very hard to not let your "feelings" get the best of you and stay imparcial\

we have a word used here in hawaii haole, the litteral translation is a foreigner, although everyone today uses it toward white ppl,
it can be friendly or it can be a very bad racial comment depending on how it's used, i call all of you a bunch of "haoles"
am i saying that as a racial comment? do you know? the answer is no, you do not know what i'm thinking. (i do not mean it in the derog meaning as i don't know any you and have no reason to, and saying that I go back to not knowing if anyone here was refering jap as an ethnic remark or if they was saying it not knowing

i really don't understand why ppl are getting upset, because you think i'm upset? well i'm not. if you say "eh that toyota will never make the hill without cracking the frame," or "hey look at that guy in his RICE COOKER, he thinks he's cool" those are funny comments that don't offend a race, offending one race is the same as offending any other, not one group is better that the next, we all got good and bad eggs

if anyone cares i'm hawaiian/scottish so no one stuck a needle up my but*
