Sold my H3 recently and am planning on getting the H3T but have also been thinking about an H2, problem is Im moving into a condo soon that has a one car garage and have not been able to measure the garage opening yet. I looked at the width of the H2 on the Hummer site and it list the H2 at 81" wide with out side mirrors. So my questions would be,,,, how wide is the H2 with side mirrors out ?,,,,,, how wide is the H2 when the side mirrors are folded in ?,,,,,,,, is it correct that all H2's come with electric folding side miorrors ? Sorry for the dumbass H2 questions as I have only owned the H3. Thanks much in advance Davyo

The width of the H2 is 81.2". The mirrors fold in within that dimension and I have not seen an H2 that didn't have electric folding mirrors. ( not sure they all do but I haven't seen one without them ) I never measured from mirror to mirror with them out but if they fold in it doesn't matter. I would add 6" to the overall width for the extended mirrors. A minimum width garage door will be 84" but almost no one uses those. Most single garage doors are 96" wide. I would be more concerned that the condo garage might have a dropped beam in the garage or the height of the door than the width.

i was just about to say the same thing...i live in townhouse and its the height...im 1/2 inch off getting through the entry, if i slide my roof racks all the way forward then i can make it but i have to stop within an inch of the cross beam( for some reason its an inch lower than the opening) doing this i barely make it inside.....so my options are to do this everytime, or park it on the street and take a chance on someone stealing it.....my lazy ass parks it on the street but i will probably change that very soon.

We build all of our garages for the apartments with a minimum 8' wide door and most are 9' wide. The height usually 7' because you have to have the header across the opening. It is not uncommon to have to have a drop beam in the garage to carry a load from above and that is where the clearance issues usually come from. Being sensitive to oversize vehicles we try to avoid that whenever possible. I do know what you mean though. I have seen a lot of condo projects where the garages are way too small for full size trucks. Even looking at houses when we moved to California we passed on several because the dropped beams in the garage wouldn't allow us to pull our vehicles in.
