Congrats! The off-road package definitely gives it a meaner stance, and I have already used the lock to get up and down some interesting angles. Very competent IMO. Let's see some pics with those installed goodies so we can all get bit by the mod bug again. :)

welcome to the forum and congrats on the Hummer. Did you get the I5? I got the I-5. Definitely would have liked to had the V8 and would have bought it in a heartbeat if the other end was attached to a manual tranny. My family and I have really been big fans of stickshifts for a long time. There's nothing wrong with automatics at all-- they're probably better suited to a myriad of different tasks, but there's just something about having that extra little bit of interaction with the left foot. Will defintely post pics when I get the accessories on.

Nice truck and Welcome to the forums. Lot's of reading here to answer any questions you might come up with. Enjoy. I forgot to ask? Since you have the rock rails waiting for an install. Could you post back what size and type mounting bolts Rocky Road includes with their set? Size and thread count, plus grade if the instructions say. I have built a set, and I am waiting for the road grime/salt to clear before bolting them up, and it has been so friggin cold I do not want to lay on the groung fumbling with bollts or taps to get it right just yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome! I am a new hummer owner as well. I have a 07 H3 adv/lux. I am also interested in the rocky road supersliders. Let us know how it goes!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. I put on the extras this past weekend. To answer the question on the mounting of the Rocky Roads, I think they are 10mm standard thread. I say that I think because I didn't actually have any metric dies, gages, or nuts to check for sure. I don't think I would try to re-tap anything. Just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a 10mm and a 12mm and see what fits in the threaded hole on the frame. Sorry I got impatient to get them on and didn't get you a firm answer on the size. Just too excited! I can tell you for sure that they are class 8.8 (roughly equivalent to a standard Grade 5 bolt). That surprised me a little. As much stress as they could potentially be under I probably would have gone with a class 10.9 fastener. I trust that Rocky Road knows what they are doing and went ahead with the 8.8's. I took some pictures of the install to help people out which I'll post in a new thread soon. Trust me, it's not that hard, but I had a couple tips that made a 2 man job an easy 20 minute 1 man job. Just to touch on the rails, I can not figure out for the life of me why they only use 3 of the 4 available mounts. All in all, I think they are a good product and look great on the H3, but their were a couple little things that bothered me. I'll go into more detail in a coming thread. And finally, thanks again for the warm welcome from everyone! JR
