I know Steve had mentioned Shiloh Ridge awhile back as another idea. It's about the same distance from Dallas as Barnwell is, it's about 2 hours from where Dave is camping in Daingerfield, and about the same distance from Louisana if Brad is still planning on going.

We should probably meet somewhere down on 20 though if we want to go there.

Anybody have any other ideas?

Good thing we found out now....Maybe if we show up complaining about electrical problems they'll think we're with the Rover club.

I'm torn on Shilo Ridge... If everyone else is still in, I'm in.

I've never been to Shiloh so I have no idea what it's like but I'm down for going wherever.

It looks like there's a new park opening this weekend if anyone wants to try that. Apparently they don't have a website yet so they're using myspace.

hmm...that sounds really cool too!  did anyone call to see what kind of turnout they expect?

i know nothing of shiloh either.  the pics on the website were not very promising.  they were pretty much all mud pits and super-mod off roading.

let's try to make a decision tonight, incase i need to cancel my daingerfield resv.

I tried calling Rock Creek but they didn't pick up.

I know what you're saying about Shiloh from their website. I found a video that makes it look a little better though.

Maybe one more thing to consider is that Shiloh is 1,000 acres and Rock Creek is only 300. Maybe it's just me but 300 acres seems a little small when Barnwell is 1,800 acres.

It's probably been 4-5 years since I've been to Shilo.

They are known for there mud pits, but every time I've gone, there've been more trails cut.  There are a number of hills and gullys and you can easily occupy your day while avoiding the mud pits

Sounds good Steve.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and vote for Shiloh.

If anyone has a better suggestion or really wants to go to the new place I'll do that too.

As for a meeting place maybe somewhere around 635 and 20? I don't really know what's around there though.

What I think Gunner is trying to say... is that if for some reason we show up to Shiloh and it's been invaded by rovers too we're all invited over to his place for beers!!

It's right at a 3 hr drive for me.  I can plan on leaving at 7 from Plano (I'm fine with leaving earlier too).  Caywood, tell me the logical place for you to catch 20 and I'll meet you there.  It's not much of a convoy, but its always nice to have someone else on the road with you.  I'm planning on taking lunch with me  There's not much of anything in Alto and its a little far to drive to Rusk for lunch.

Are y'all good with CBs, or do i need to bring my spare?
