OK! I KNOW A LOT OF YOU ARE GOING TO LAUGH AT THIS QUESTION! I'M A GIRL THOUGH AND DON'T KNOW THESE THINGS.

IS IT OK TO GET ME TIRES ROTATED ANYWHERE OR DO I NEED TO HAVE IT DONE AT A DEALERSHIP? I USED TO TAKE MY OLD CAR ANYWHERE BUT AM MUCH MORE CAUTIOUS OF HOW I TREAT MY HUMMER. I JUST DON'T WANT SOME GOOFBALL MESSING ANYTHING UP WITH THE TPMS.

No worries Ampo. Personally I would take it to the dealer. There are some tire places that could handle it but not all. Getting to be quite a few cars with TPS in the stems. If you take it somewhere else make them verify they understand and can do the swap.

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THEY CHARGE AT A GM DEALERSHIP? I DON'T HAVE A HUMMER DEALERSHIP AROUND WHERE I LIVE.

Haven't done the H3 yet but if you have it done at the same time as an oil change( $29.95 ) they shouldn't charge more than $30.00. ( thats what the Chevy dealership charges me to rotate tires on the Vette and it has TPS )In fact on my H2 the dealer sometimes didn't even charge me to rotate the tires. Where are you located? If in Socal I can get you in touch with a number of really good Hummer service departments. Call the service department Saturday AM and asked them what they charge to rotate tires. Let us know what you find out and how it turns out.

Tire Discounters did mine and no problems, any GM dealership should be able to do it. Most tire stores should be able to now like 3Hummers said, I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that all cars MFG after Sept 07 have TPM's on them so everyone should be getting the hang of it by now.

Significant -> RE: Tire Rotation (2/9/2008 11:55:42 PM)

just to let everyone know almost all tire shops should know have a TPM reset and monitoring tool... all 2008 vehicles are required by law to have TPM's(tire pressure monitors) because people didnt know how to check their tire pressure and kept blowing them out... and tire rotations are usually around the price of 30 bucks... but once they are rotated the TPMs must be reset...

Muddydawg75 -> RE: Tire Rotation (2/10/2008 7:18:18 AM)

The idiots I used to take my truck to charged $50 to rotate them... that is $50... when they supposedly had the wheels off to repair my axle leak and supposedly checked the brakes.... part of their 21 point inspection they supposedly perform everytime you get warranty work done...
