3Hummers - how did you like the air ride as opposed to leaf springs?

the H2 doesn't have leaf springs, it has coils.  and i figure it would be hard to compare the ride unless you've driven both extensively.  have you driven either?

Only works at low speeds or at the push of a button if you get high centered on something.

I have an 03 with Air.  I have had no problems.  I have 67K Miles.  IMO it rides better than none air.  If you are towing alot I defintly recommend it.  As it will adjust when towing and ride level.

that's the only time i wish i had air suspension, when towing the camper.  the load leveling set up doesn't keep the back from sagging like the air bags would.

The ride Quality is not compromised when towing eighter it rides just like it does without the trailer.

Had the air suspension in my 03', never a problem. Have it on my 07'
I think it's a must if you tow anything heavy.

ive driven many many h2's with coils and air suspension... i do seem to like the feel of the air suspension more... the only thing the button does is lowers the rear of the vehicle for towing reasons... the ride qualtiy is noticable but not a huge difference... there are those people that do come in with leaks in their systems... most of the time its the fitting on the top of the air bag... coil = no problems at all and of couse the air suspension being more complex its going to have some... it just depends if your a lucky one or not =) most of the time people that have air bag problems are the people that drive their h2 quite rough and off road...
