Well, I have it on my wife's. Had on her last one also. Love the auto start feature, just set all of your temp controls when you get out, push lock 3 times and it starts. After 15 mins it turns itself off. As far as loud, it's as loud as the horn is. The alarm really isn't that big of a deal anymore IMO, nobody even pays attention to them when they go off. You may be able to find one cheaper, I just like the fact that it is covered with the rest of the truck under warrenty and it all goes through 1 key fob.

We use a local shop to install our alarms. I don't recommend them as the factory setup is just as good. If you do have one installed I would go through your dealer for sure, they will stand behind it if it were to act up and cause the truck to have issues in the future. $499 is the normal price.
