I have a 03 h2, bought used, rancho lift kit..

It seems like it's in 4 wd mode all the time, when I turn of pavement it 'hop's, it appears that the wheels all want to rotate at the same rate all the time..  it seems to be putting a lot of unnesasary ware on the truck.  any one know if this is normal?  any suggestions ?

Thanks

I understand it is. not owning an h2 before but have driven/owned many awd/4 wd vehicles it acts likes it's stuck in 'off road mode'..  like there is no differential, all tires rotate the same amount all the time..

Was wondering if someone had similiar issues, or if this is 'normal' has any one done a conversion to put it into 2wheel drive mode when driving in the city

Thanks

Since you have had 4 wheel drives before I assume that you have checked to make sure you weren't in high locked. I don't remember the controls for the H2 but put it 4 high ( not locked ) and slowly back up 20-30 feet. Sometimes they don't disengage when you shift out of the locked mode. I have never had a lifted truck so I don't know if that could have something to do with what you are feeling.

They are always in 4WD... all the time. Maybe you have it in 50/50 instead of 40/60?
