Not with this engine... 220-225 lbs of torque is not enough... It could plow if a driver used the weight of the truck perfectly but that would take great skill and would still be tough... The fact or the matter is, if you were hoping to plow there are many, many cheaper trucks better for the job by far... If I had a short plow and an easy driveway I might do my own but would not consider anything more difficult... Hate to be a nay sayer twice but again, just trying to be honest...

I disagree with the previous statement, I think the h3 would be a great plow truck, people plow with S10 and blazers with 4.3L in them with 190 hp, and 250 ft lbs torgue, its now much different, I think if an h3 can crawl up an steep incline it can push some snow, I live in buffalo, ny so we get alot of the white stuff here, and besides i used my h3 to pull out an h2 today stuck in the mud when we off roading at our hummer happening,

i'd have to go with rayvyn on this one. we don't get much snow in this part of CA (once in the last 13 years that lasted for 2 minutes), but i've seen what happens to S10 and Cherokee sized plow vehicles from my earlier life in PA. works great on an inch or 2, but get about a 10 foot run of 3 inch deep wet snow and your stopped in your tracks. i say have some kids and make them shovel whatever you want to plow.
