I have now BMW X5 and I want to get an H3, but I go off road only 2% of the time.
How is H3 for road compare with the other SUV's? Is it a good car?
Thank you for your comments

Welcome Cristi,

It rides beatuifully, Cadilac like smoothness. That was the biggest surprize for me. We have had to Toy LCs, an MB ML500, a Volvo 90, Explorer, and a Montero Sport in the last 12 years and my H3 is by far the most fun and comfortable. Go test drive one. You will fall in love. It won't have the power of the Beemer but you will be able to drive over it.

Hate to disagree with you, but the H3 is nowhere close to the ride of a cadillac. My family has had 7 cadillacs and I can tell you that the H3 is every bit a truck. It is very comfortable for an SUV though. As good as the Grand Cherokees.

I have to disagree with you all..It rides better than a Cadillac..Handles better and is responsive..

But I think HG123 meant this type of Caddy

I can see someone sitting there with graphs and pie charts figuring that out.....not making fun of you, I just found that funny

Like any new car would, the H3 rides very smoothly. The basic package is very nice. It has the looks of a hummer but not the price of a hummer. It turns heads when i drive it around. But i have one problem with it... the windows are very small. It was the first thing i noticed when i saw the car (soo much body soo little window). I really cant see much. I am a new driver and this has created many problems for me. I suppose if you were an excellent driver, it wouldn't matter as much but it is still dangerous. I feel more safe in my sisters Durango. But overall, i love the car and think it is fantastic. Go to your local Hummer dealer, test drive one (switch lanes to the left and you'll see what i mean) and decide for yourself.

The Cadi comparison is right on the money. The H3 is VERY and Surprisingly smooth, especially on the highway. The road noise is VERY minimul compared to other SUV's out there.

My sister-in-law has a Mercedez 430 SUV, and she always tells me she wants to trade it for a H3 because hers is so rough compared to ours.

You need to test drive one. You will be amazed at how quiet, smooth and responsive it is.

I think it depends on what you are looking for and what reasons. I would love to have a X5 blue

Hi Christy. I just turned in my leased 2003 BMW X5 and leased an 06 H2. Although the H2 and the H3, that your interested in, are different animals, I have observed some differences with my experiences. The X5 is much more car like than my H2, also the build quality was higher in my X5. The whole vehicle just felt much tighter, but I'm talking about 2 vehicles that are considerably different than you are comparing. With that said, I would assume that the Bimmer has a slightly better build quality, but the H3 has a higher cool factor.
