yeah... too bad the Jeeps of yesterday got ruined by the yuppie fags of today...

Jeeps just are not used for what they were designed for... they are a status symbol so the losers can say.. I have a Jeep... I can go anywhere... while the wheelers don;t say anything.. and do go everywhere...

reminds me of that Jeep Jerkoff at Wharton that day... he stood around talking **** about how a Hummer got stuck... when he never even went through it.... and the Jeep winching me out admitted he tried it and got stuck 3 times in his rubi...

Back in Desert Shield/Storm we found an old M151 Jeep  That thing was a blast to drive around, never did get it stuck over there and the best thing was that I didn't even have to lock it. Unless you had been trained on it you didn't know that the START button was under the clutch pedal and a flip switch on the dash
We snuck it back inside of a container (it pays to be transportation sometimes) and our post commander used it after that.

All of it goes back to the old Apples/Oranges debate.  You can't compare a 2,000 pound vehicle with an 84inch wheelbase to a 5,000 Lb H3.  Just like you can't compare an H3 to an M998 (HUMVEE).  All vehicles being compared MUST be in the same class.  If you want to compare the H3 to a Jeep product it would have to be Commander or Grand Cherokee.  Go up another vehicle class to compare the H2, Jeep doesn't have that vehicle class, and go up to a 2 ton truck to compare the H1.  Apples to Apples.

you can compare the h3 to the JK 4 door wrangler...the specs are similiar. Even the wheelbase of the old scramblers are close to an h3 if I'm not mistaken. The 4 door JK, h3 and fj are all in the same class IMO.

Sorry...I forgot about the JK (Wrangler Rubicon).  They stopped making Jeeps when they stopped making CJ's in my ever so less than humble opinion.

Had a couple of CJs and loved them. Never went turtle in them though.

seeing pavement, sky, pavement, sky kinda gives you a different outlook on the vehicle....lol. In defence of the truck, looking back now 38's may have been a bit too big I've rolled three diferent trucks... the cj by far was the most painful

I had a CJ that I almost went end over end, backwards. That was fun. Thought the hill wasn't as steep as it actually was.

The Hummer was modeled after the Jeep the grill is the signature similarity. I remember when Jeep came out with Quadra-Trac in the Cherokee (Mid 70's), it pretty much kicked everyone elses a$$ in the sand, mud, snow etc....
