thats true dennis, but are you comparing a base h3 with the 265's or an adventure? An adventure compared to a Rubicon wrangler are pretty close IMO. a base h3 against a rubi will get smoked, mostly because the tires the base comes with do not clean themselved in mud at all, but the rubi has more agressive treads like the h3 adventure. I'd love to see a comparison of an H# with 33 or 35" mudders against a rubi with 33" mudders. Once my brothers new rubi comes in he already has 33" mickey's to put on and I'll have my 35's by then so I am going to do alot of comparing....photos to follow!

Whay most people don't realize, is that 90% of off roading is driver!!! Aside from the street tires on that Jeep, it seems rather obvious that the driver simply wasn't capable. I have seen Jeeps getting pulled out by Hummers, and I've seen Hummers get pulled out by Jeeps. I think that it is a tribute to the strengths of both makes that you constantly see the "I used my Jeep to pull out a Hummer" videos! You don't see anyone bragging that they pulled out a 4wd Chevy, do you? It's because it's simply not as capable a vehicle!

Realize that I am biased here... I drive an XJ (that's a Jeep Cherokee - the one made in the 80's and 90's), and I just bought my wife an H3. Both are bone stock. Both are extremely capable. I would not hesitate to take either almost anywhere, because I know the level of wheelin' I am capable of! ...although I would be more comfortable in the XJ on a tight trail since it's so much smaller.
