Does anyone know how to get more heat out of my truck, 2000 H1 Hardtop. Right now it's -47 below. And how bright are the black diamond headlights on E-bay? only $8.99

For more heat... the H1 doesnt really have a good heater core... only thing you can do is make sure your coolant is topped off and when at redlights i usually idle around 1600-2000...
Next year there may be an accessory to help with the heat... I am currently working on some templates that hopefully will keep our engine temp at 200 during the colder winters and it will be a bolt on accessory no mods at all and can easily be taken off for the warmer months or "opened up" for the warmer days/high way travel in the winter months....
but sad to say it wont be out till next year :(

-47? I don't think any auto heater is going to make much of a dent in that. Time to throw another log on the fire and pour yourself another scotch.

I'm up in Alberta, Canada. And the Scotch up here is getting very expensive. The wind chill is -56. I have the motor tarped up it's running around 220 degrees, im getting decent heat in the back, but not much up front.

The fans just don't push the air very hard so it isn't going to penetrate very deep into the truck. You also have lots of glass.

If you are getting good heat in the rear but not in the front, I would suspect something isn't working properly; you may want to have it checked out to make sure that there isn't a gate/flap stuck partway open, a loose vacuum hose connection, or a problem with any of your duct/connections.

There are also heat shields in the area below the transmission shifter, e-brake and t-case lever -- I found that with those removed, more engine/exhaust heat comes up into the cab in that area.

You can also buy a small 12v heater/blower and aim it directly at yourself (or a passenger) -- it doesn't have much of a range, but I got one and my wife loved having another area of warm air to put her hands in front of, etc.
