Welcome. 19' sharks make me rethink the need to swim in the ocean. Think I'll stay in the pool where the water is heated to a nice temp.

Looks like a 19' piece of kelp If I saw that at my local beach it might end my surfing career So how do the cognitos compare to the stock ride? Harder? Softer? Same? I leveled the front with the Readylift kit and got the ProComp shocks, but the ProComps are a little soft for me.

Howdy and welcome. Nice truck. I'll stick to fresh water thank you. I do like the sand though.

Thanks guys looking forward to tweaking the H3, and getting ideas from the boards here has been great. Coginito data: 26000 miles on it so the stock shocks should be in good shape, it looks like the previous owner didnt really do any wheeling. We decided to put the shocks on it and see how it rode over a few trips, then crank the t-bars to just under level get an alignment and put a couple more trips on it, if everything stills feels great 35's will be the final step. The H3(George as my girls call him) is for weekends & bad weather, and Geocaching, with some offroading thrown in as much as possible. But the sad thing is the beach is 2+ hours away and the mountains is 3+ hours also, not a big muddin fan so lots of highway miles are the norm and ride quality is a must. Both of us noticed an improvement just changing out the shocks, I would put them on even if the choice was to stay with a wide 33" vs a 35" tire. Slower compression(less nose dive when braking), but still smooth in travel instead of just being stiffer and rebounding too quickly. So I would have to say the shocks are firmer but with a better quality of smoothness. Also I had to put a jack under the lower control arm to lift up against the torsion bar to be able to pull out the bolt in the lower shock mount, so the chassis was on a jack stand on concrete and I noticed that I had to raise the chassis in order to get the tire back on. I didnt measure the diffrence but the Coginitos do give you more suspension travel. Now to decide between the Procomp Extreme AT, or the Toyo Open Country MT

If I could change the H3's shocks I totally would. It's sooo bouncy as is - too bad it's a lease and the shocks are still brand new. If I ever buy a used one I'd put something stiffer...
