Just came back from the local Hummer dealer and came away with the following deal and wondering if it is a good deal (I think so based on what I have read here)

2006 Hummer H3
MSRP 40,090
Price 37,820

The 07s on their lot, they would not budge on price plus there is no financing deal.

Also, are there any issues I should know about and if so, was there a pruduction fix date? This H3 was built 5/06

Thanks

What type of H3 are you looking at? ADV PACK, BASE, or LUX PACK. I know the 07 are going to be $1500 to $2000+ more just for the slight HP increase, which you can get by doing a couple of Mods.

I would first ask to see the invoice on the 2006 with the 2007 out you should easily be able to cut some kind of deal. The dealer I bought mine at was taking 5600 off on all 2006 but without the 0% but they still offered money off with 0%. I'm thinking you should be able to get them down to at least $37000 if not a little more depending on how good you are at haggling. Also don't ever tell them what you want your payments to be. Work the deal first on the new vehicle then if you have a trade work that deal seperate (Don't tell them you have a trade untill the price on the new vehicle is set the same thing applies with cash down). It will piss them off because they already went down on the new vehicle. Then they have to adjust for the trade. Just stick to your guns they will cave. I like to haggle with them. This time I didn't have to though because I got the GM family deal which is below invoice.

Yep.. Like the NAV (wifey needs it)

I just looked up a registration transfer in NJ and it is $4.50 and the freeking dealer wants to charge $239 even when I said it was to be a transfer of plates and registration. Looking it up on nj dmv site, it shows $4.50 plus pay the difference if the weight class is not the same (it is)

I hate Sundays because I have to wait until Monday to beat them up about it. But I am sure it might just be a mistake.
Now they will have to give it for $4.50 (transfer of registration) and $500 more off the truck or I just might not buy it.

The Nav is pretty cool however, don't forget you can always upgrade your on-star and get all the directions you want.

They charged me $100 for the transfer but 2 weeks later I got a check in the mail for $44.00 for the overpayment on the DMV fees. This was at the Turnersville Hummer dealership.
