Wooops, almost forgot this one.    Anybody going up Friday afternoon, can wheel both Friday and Saturday.  When we get close to the date, let's do a roll call and find out who we should be looking for and when.  I very well may be up there most of the week!

As to congestion..............here is 4th of July 2003

Here is an overcast early Thursday morning 8/9/07

I'll probably head up Fri night and see if I can get a spot at the campground and pick up my voucher.
If you are going to make your own flag bracket, just remember that it has to be mounted on the front most part of the truck.  Cant have it on the roof or attached to the rear bumper.  For our trucks, the front tow hook is about your only mounting point.

the pass will not be a issue. I have sat in the line on memorial day that wrapped all the way down the street and around the corner for like another mile. NO BIG DEAL it was like a hour wait and then I was in for the intire day. Besides I have a friend that works the booth, yea its good to know the guy that gets you pass the inspections. (this only applies to four wheelers and dirtbikes).
His name is LEVI. Drop his name and you wont have problems.

doc where is everyone gonna stay? I stayed at the sierra sands last time because i had my girlfriend. She needs a hot shower i guess, go figure. It was a really nice place clean and new. Close to the dunes too. If it was me and just the homies I would camp.

I might be doin a cottage for the week, the kids say cottage and one week!  They love it, and if that is the case, might even bring the little boat too.
Wife is arranging her work schedule so I'm not sure, but I will let you know by next week.

We have stayed at the Silver Sands many times, Sierra Sands is also nice, and newer.

Well guys, doesn't look like I'll be able to make this one. Sorry. They just sent out an email this morning saying that they have added July 12 to our Saturday Processing list! BASTARDS!

Sorry, wish I could make it but by the time that I get off work at 1400 then a 5-6 hour drive...

Hi All,

This is my first post on this site, I have posted on some of the other forums.  This may be a stupid newbie question but I would like to attend this event.  I try to hit Silver Lake at least once a year, is this just a show up and play in the sand or do you need to a club member?

I suppose I would rate myself a mid-level driver but pretty decent in the sand and have some stuff, winch quality tow ropes etc.  So not exactly hardcore but not totally helpless either.  Looking to meet other owners have fun and wheel.

Hey MisterE:  You are for sure welcome to show up and wheel with us.  No club/membership event, just getting together for some fun.

Since you've been to Silver Lake before, you know the voucher gig, and the park opens at 9:am Saturday, so get their early, and head to the park a little before 9:am ready to go, and you're in!!!

Chime in to this thread a few days before the event so we know who will be showing up and who to look for.  Bring your camera!
