Retired Nuclear Fast Attack Submariner (Sonar Technician). Working new job in the test dept. building/overhaul'n submarines...how about 20,000 Shaft horsepower! Tinker in my garage on my '93 Thunderbird Super Coupe (upgrading from 5 spd to a 6) and do some minor metal fab for hobby. Keeps me home.....but not out of trouble. Always need another tool for something......Hum ..Plasma cutter....or.......Large air compressor?

My dad was a bubblehead! You guys are nuts! I keep my tent and sucking sand as opposed to living in a tube under water for months at a time. My hats off to you

I have been on a few submarines and I can't believe how cramped they are. Pretty sure I would have a hard time trying to hang in one for long.

They have submarines in the mall that runs under an aquatic park/theme park.  It's pretty cool, big hit with the families w/ kids.

The subs are not real in the sense that they run on a guided track, but neat nontheless.

You can see 4 of the subs here:

3HUMMERS looking for H1 wagon or sut or a HMMWV that is already licensed. nothing special, but not a POS either. Early is OK, so is diesel or gas. Have to be able to drive it until "bird" is on road or this winter if I get rid of the ford.
Thanks, MikeH

Those tub-toys are sooooo cuute! But you can't chase or shoot anyone with them.......and they got WINDOWS! No self resecting sewer pipe has windows!!!!

Did two tours out of Pearl Harbor and two in Groton, CT(Sub Capitol of the World) First Boat was the USS Hawkbill (SSN-666) (was originaly named the "Devilfish") A 637 Sturgeon class. I think they should have left the names alone. She is mostly gone now, the Sail ("tower") is in Arco, ID at a memorial and is called 'The Submarine of the High Desert'. Then the USS Honolulu (SSN-718) the last of the Non Verticle Launch L.A. class. She is Decommissioned also but from what I hear the front half is to be cut off to replace the front of the USS San Francisco (SSN-711) which hit a sea mount a few years ago. Then the USS Providence (SSN-719) First of the VLS L.A. class (She's still around), and last but not least the USS Philadelphia (SSN-690) I was on the Philly in 2001 and was just returning from a 6 mo. SEAL Team Suport Deployment to the MED when we heard about the attacks on 9-11. Us 'Old Timers' wanted to go back and pick up the SEALs and do some SERIOUS DAMAGE, but they had us return home safe to our Families instead. Her next deployment (I was retired by then) to the MED She got run over by a Turkish freighter while she was on the surface. She was damaged but made it home safe, and is still 'punching holes' in the ocean. GOD Bless our men and women who serve to keep us safe!

My dad was on the SSN Whale (638), he was on it when they punched through the ice cap at the North Pole the first time.

When I was there in....Like.....1989?? they had a submarine ride that went around the inside of the mall. It was an ACTUAL Sub!!! Pretty Cool actually!!

Deep Sea Adventure - Submarine Voyage And The World's Largest Indoor Lake
This attraction has four real submarines, self-powered and propelled, take 24 passengers on a 35 minute ride in a lake approximately 122m (400') long and up to 6m (20') deep where you can see 250 different types of marine life. The coral is real, with some parts over 2,000 years old. The submarines were built in Port Moody, British Columbia and are capable of reaching a depth of 46m (151'), and for many years formed a larger submarine fleet than the Canadian Navy's! The Mall also has 12 marine life exhibits containing over 250 gallons of salt water. 780-444-5300

I'm a Network Engineer. Lot's of types of engineers in here. I find it interesting that the Hummer brand really appeals to technical types.
