agreed...but I HIGHLY doubt you'll see that suspension in a production vehicle...if so expect to pay more for the new h4 than an h2....sad, I'd love to see that suspension on a stocker.

well i, personally, dont consider the h3 a direct competitor of the 4-door jeep.  it competes w/ the cherokees, specifically grand...which it pwns off-road.  hummers are considered luxury off-road (?) vehicles.  4-door jeeps are more recreational and not so luxurious...

to be honest, i dont really care which one is "better" than the other.  im just [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif] back at our new friend, OK.

also, i never said the h4(x) would be better than a rubi.  until it comes out, we'll have no clue.  just that it will compete in the same market, which it will...whether we think its better or not.  im just happy that someone is trying to compete in that market since the wrangler has been the walmart of recreational autos.  i know suzuki tried with the samurai [:D], but now there's potential for a real competitor.  and, that's good for lovers of both brands as it will fuel price competition as well.

I think it will compete with Jeep, after all Hummer's motto is to come out with vehicles that are the tops in their class in off road capablity.  But let's not rush to judgement and there is room for everyone on the trail.

But I agree that with IFS, this thing is gonna get smoked by the Wrangler. Any wrangler.  Hell, even a CJ.
Shame they didn't make some attempt at an SFA.  Would be nice to see a real offroad rivalry again.  Even if it is sibling rivalry.

I vote Jeep buy back Hummer and make 'em tough again HAHA (simmer down, i'm kidding on that one).

The H3 competes with the Grand Cherokee? Dude, what are you smokin'?  I don't think anybody has told Jeep or GM that LOL

I wouldn't say any wrangler.... a non rubi has no diff lock and the POS axles can hardly handle 33's...running a 35 would be stressing it to it's limits. Let's be fair here....a base wrangler(x, sahara) is not in the same league as an H3....the fact that an h3 can run 35's with no lift puts it above and beyond a non rubi Wrangler.

I like the Wheels, but I wonder if I can fit in it? It looks a little tight for room on the inside. ( I'm 6'5" 220).

well, somebody told GM to put it on the hummer website b/c its there clear as day.  and, lets not forget that every hummer dealer's office has a comparison chart w/ 4 other vehicles in the h3's class...grand cherokee included.  oh yeah, and then there's kelly bluebook and edmunds...but what do i know?  im too busy getting 'high'...why dont you put you're jeep-love aside and look at the facts?  how do they not compete?  they're in the same class (tho ive never see a grand off road).

not trying to flame the impster, only OK [;)].  jk!  like it or not, the h4 will be in the same class as the wrangler and will take sales away.  its basic economics, folks.  im just happy that there's more competition in the market, which will drive down prices.  and what does that mean?  more wheelin' for all!

in defence of the grand cherokee...my zj (1997) is very capable off road...I've been through crap with that thing that I don't think my stock h3 would make....pick up a jP magazine and you'll see grands doing some pretty hard core stuff.

great question!  when did i ever mention anything about a non-base to non-base comparison? nothing like comparing apples (non-base grand) to oranges (stock h3)...[8D]

impy, im totally messing around for entertainment value and hope you know that.  i have very, very little knowledge on the subject and have 0 problem admitting it.
