Any off-roaders here keep extra car parts in the back with the tools? Extra Tie-rods, shocks?

It all depends on how hard your driving offroad, It is always a good idea if your going far from any civilization.  Normally I don't carry any parts when I'm wheelin' in NJ/PA and at any Hummer Club events.  But when I go out to places like Moab I will carry some tie-rods and tools.

I carry a black trunk full of offroad goodies... anything from an extra jacket, flashlights, tie rods, shovel, shackles, wire splices, basic hand tools, etc...

I carry a couple of half shafts, tie rods, ball joints, pitman/idler arm etc. plus just the tools needed to change those things. Usually people on the trail will help fix what breaks but you should be able to do it yourself.

If you don't know how to fix something I wouldn't bother hauling the spares and tools.

True true but I would want to go with people and and stop them from having fun to help me fix my car and then let alone ask to borrow there parts and tools.

Why did they close it down?

property was sold to a private company that's building condo's or something. they are not allowing any wheeling. there was a big article about it in my JP magazine.
