Hah no doubt but I guess im not doing too bad... Since I just purchased it May 2006 since then I've basically brought it back to live repairing a bunch of stuff due to slacking on the part of previous owner... Then I also have gotten 2" Lift, Slantback Calgold top, Replaced all my marker lights with LED ones, Aux Bench Seat, complete spare set of rims/tires. and a few other smaller stuff.. So I guess im doing alright. But yea I am definately in it for he long-haul will be a never ending process especially if you abuse em :)

Yeah, once they quit making the civilian Hummer it disappeared pretty quickly. Never see it in the magazines, etc. Guess they figure they got the "halo" effect they wanted and don't need the association anymore. The 3s are selling pretty well. @s are slow. They need the H4 to kick start sales again.

Nope Injun, lots of people feel that way. All of the Hummer models derive some of their aura from their association with the H1 and AMG. I think for GM to get away from that ( H1 ) is going to be a long term marketing mistake. But hey, who am I ( just a big Hummer/GM customer )what do I know?? Everyone knows the marketing geniuses at GM have gotten it all right over the last 10 years so why should they listen to their customers? Just keep making thosegreat decisions and they might be able to hang onto third place in US sales. Somebody needs to tell them they have the sales chart upside down...the line is supposed to go up.

If GM were smart they would improve the design and use lighter and stronger parts and make it more effiecient by making it able to run biodiesel, like a poster boy for biodeisel and people would start thinking of hummer as revolutionary in using fuels other than gas or diesel

thats right, consumers eat up that whole alternative fuel thing. If GM tried harder they probably could have kept the H1 but I think they really just wanted the name. 2006 was a sad year, the last year of the H1 and the first year people could say "im downsizing to a hummer"
