The H3s also have the chip in your car key so they need that to get the car started.

I thought that we established that the key doesn't have a transponder in it? Many users on here stated that they are using Hardware Store cut keys with now problems? Maybe the newer 08's do? I know neither one of mine have one.

Years ago there was a feature on "60 Minutes" (I think that was the show) about car theft. They had a "reformed "teenaged car thief on, who showed how easy it was to steal a car. The car was a Camaro with The Club, a sophisticated alarm system, and something else I can't recall. Anyway, they timed him and he broke into the car, disabled the alarm, and started the engine in something like thirty seconds. The upshod of the show was that if a _professional_ car theif wants your car, kiss it good bye.
