My company decided that it made better sense to offer me a company car than a pay raise.

So in good form I pick out a 2008 H3 Alpha, Nav, Off-Road, Rear Vision Camera, Trailer Hitch.

Had it for 110 miles to date, fun vehicle.

I own a S60R Volvo (2 actually his/hers) so this is a nice change. I've owned a few luxury SUVs, a 2004 Volvo XC90 lately but nothing like the H3.

Don't bash too hard, I do love my Volvo's, but, hard to beat a free H3 Alpha.

Ex-Navy, marine engineer, now a Director of Operations for a larger Mid-West Sun Microsystems Value Added Reseller.

Best Regards

You must work for a pretty progressive company not to wind up with the cheapest POS on the market as a company car. Very impressive. Enjoy the Hummer and welcome to the forum.

Hey welcome to the club, are there any more postions available at your company?  I will take a H3 Alpha instead of a raise, too.

Welcome, It's always more fun to spend OPM (Other Peoples Money)! I think they need to buy MTZ 35" tires too, just to make sure nothing can stop you from getting to work!

Well, they are probably doing a lease, so the business can write it off as an expense and probably in the long run end up spending less money on the H3 then on the raise unfortunately.  But hey, a fully loaded H3 is still quite a present
