Got rear ended by a Ford Escape Hybrid today. As you all know, it was no contest. If I wasn't in the vehicle I wouldn't have believed I was hit. His mini SUV was in sad shape needing pretty much everything above his bumper. His hood was about a foot shorter and has that nice accordian look to it.
Back to my H2. I couldn't find a scratch, dent, scuff, or any sign of impact. Apparently the spare tire took the hit and didn't mind a bit.

Score another point for Hummer!

Jim

My H2 went through two accidents where people had the misfortune to run into me. The H2 had no damage from either wreck and both of the other cars had substantial damage. I am a believer.

Hey there was some sh!the@d on here the other day contemplating on either a H3 or Escape (but thought hummers contributed to the war on oil or some BS like that). I wish he could hear that story!

they are built to last hence the "Tough"... but the front end is a crumple zone to keep you safe...  look at one of the new ones... it will fold like a beer can... if I would have hit that chick in my ford van instead of the hummer it probably would have only been 5k in damage...

IMHO...

A Ford Escape din't do any damage to my Hummer but an egg sure did. Some ****heads egged her the other night and it broke the taillight. I saw the getaway car and it's only a matter of time before I track them down.
I guess now we know that eggs are stronger than a Ford Escape.

I swear, not much ticks me off more than someone messing with my car/house. I did ALOT of stupid crap as a kid, but I never would have thrown eggs at someone's property, toilet paper maybe (it comes off) but nothing permenant. I had a sign on my house (because of recruiting duty), it said "Home of a Soldier". I had to take it down because the dang kids kept egging and throwing beer cans up in the yard then squeling their tires. Idiots!

Sorry they messed your H2, that's a damn shame

I never understood egging...  the kids used to do that when I was in High School... they ALWAYS got caught because they bought 10 dozen the night of the crime....  I always laughed and said.. why not buy them at easter and then wait til Halloween...

When I was a kid halloween mischief was driving through the huge piles of leaves in town.... until people started putting concrete blocks in them...

So much for the taillight guard.
