I just purchased a 2008 H2 with Navigation and XM. When the vehicle is in motion I cannot scroll through the XM catagories.

Does anyone know of a way around this?

If this is not fixable I see no reason to keep the XM subscrition. It is bad enough that GM will not allow you to enter a destination into the NAV system in-motion but to stop you from scrolling XM is just stupid.

Why would they do this when you can scroll through AM and FM channels?

Definitely does not seem like a dealer issue.  I can scroll through all the XM categories when I am not in-motion. But, as soon as the vehicle is in motion it is grayed out.
It seems to me that GM has too many lawyers working for them

What does the manual say?

Why the hell would you want to read that?

The only information I was able to find in either the Owner’s Manual or Navigation Supplement was about a feature called “Limit Features while Driving”. The manual stated that my system “may have this feature”. Well it seems GM did not add this feature to the 2008 model and I cannot not change the settings. So once the vehicle goes over 5 MPH I lose the ability to scroll through XM categories and also to enter a destination into the navigation system.
If anyone can tell me a way to get around this I would be very grateful!

The problem is not XM it the way GM has programed the radio and navigation system and I could careless if I have XM or Sirus.
